Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Last week's Parish Leadership Conference in fact drew over 150 and we're expecting a good crowd at Hartwick College, the Anderson Center, in Oneonta tomorrow. Sign in begins at 8:30. Adjournment is by 4pm. Fr Tory Baucum returns for this second Conference. Weather should be a lot better than last weekend's freezing blizzard.

The final PLC will be at Christ the King Spiritual Life Center next Saturday, Feb 5. All key leaders should attend

Sunday I'm in Little Falls and Bishop Dave is in Chatham.

Tuesday, Feb 1, is the Eucharistic Holy Hour for clergy at Christ the King Spiritual Life Center; lunch reservations go to Ronnie Pressley (phone 518-692-9550) at the SLC.

At today's Noon Mass at the Cathedral, Father Walt Collins, pointed to St Thomas Aquinas' genius as connecting faith and reason in the life of the Christian. All of us desire to serve the Lord fully, and that means engaging all of our faculties drawing on both revelation and reason.

Father Collins will be honored on Tuesday, after the noon Holy Hour. He has served as Chaplain for 17 years ministering at the bedside of the sick and dying. It is a great opportunity to honor him (and Alice who generously shared him with the sick and their families.

Congratulations to Father Tom Trees and his wife, Kathleen on the birth of their son Elijah.
