Registration is from 8:00 to 8:45. Registrations have swelled to over 325 as of yesterday morning, with more coming in.
The Rev’d Canon Darwin Kirby died this week and his Requiem will be at St George’s, Schenectady, on Saturday, March 11, at 10:00. Father Kirby had a distinguished ministry in this diocese for forty years. He retired from St George’s in 1987. Give rest, O Christ, to your servant with your saints. Amen.

St John’s, Troy is featuring a “Holy Spirit Weekend” under the leadership of Jean Nolting on March 10-12.
Several churches are hosting the Stations of the Cross on Friday nights in Lent at 6pm including Christ Church, Schenectady; St Andrew’s Albany; Grace and Holy Innocents, Albany.
Today is the feast of two great English priests, Blessed John and Charles Wesley. Regrettably the leaders of the established church of the day were more interested in the establishment than the church, and so most of the Wesley’s vital ministry bore fruit outside the bounds of Anglicanism.
One of the great marathons in the lives of many Christians is to cross the vast gap of 18 inches from the head to the heart. Lent remains the season of conversion.
It was reported that by Easter the faces of the Wesley’s were gaunt from following the Prayer Book fasting so methodically (hence the nickname “Methodists”).
LORD JESUS, we ask You to methodically restore us to lives of holiness and grace, by which You are glorified, and we may rejoice afresh in Your salvation. Amen.
In Christ,
+ Dan
